I was so productive today!
I started out the day by going to PCC. For those that don't know, I've decided to give up on the cruise ship thing and look at other options. What did I decide on? A career in the health care arena. At first I was looking at nursing, but it's really competitive, and seeing as I'm an instant gratification kind of girl, it didn't seem to be the right option for me. I'm really excited about my new plan: Medical Lab Tech! It sounds very interesting, and it seems a bit easier to get into.
I enrolled at PCC today, which was ridiculously easy! $25 and a small form to fill out. That was nothing like undergrad! I also talked to an academic advisor, and I'll be taking a couple of pre-requisite classes come winter term which starts in January. It'll be weird to take classes again! I need to take the math placement test, so, here's to hoping that I'll place in something other than the "you're a moron" category!
In other exciting news, I bought a new laptop today! Hooray! It's a very pretty HP. I managed to get a printer in the deal too....awesome! The picture is so bright and sharp compared to my old one. I'll be having a lot of fun figuring out where everything is on this thing!

5:28am
Yes, I'm awake at 5:28am on a Tuesday morning. And no, I didn't get up early. Got off work around 3ish, and hung out with co-workers til 5. Good lord I haven't done that in a looonnnggg time! It'll probably be more of a regular thing on Monday nights from now on! So anyway, hi from Mr. Pants and me!!
Ok, we're off to bed. Well, I am at least. Thank god for the face mask I bought recently to keep the sun outta my eyes this morning as I'll be sleeping!

Changes?
With the economy not bailed out just yet, I've been thinking about my future career. I don't know how hot I am on the cruise ship idea anymore. How many people are really going to be going to get on a ship in Hawaii when they don't know if they can pay their mortgages? Hmmm. Might not be the best way to make some money. And, if they don't get me on the ship by the 2nd week of November, I can't go this fall anyway. I'll be going overseas in May, and have to be back for the trip!
Regardless of what happens, I'm considering big changes. I'd like a career. A real one. I don't wanna bartend forever. So in my thought process, I was trying to figure out jobs that won't be obscure in 20 years. And what did I come up with? Health care. People will always get sick. I've been doing some research online, and well, I'm checking some things out and I'm gonna see if it's a viable option for me. The thought of going back to school is weird, but, if it gets me something good, I'm all for it!
Cross your fingers for me, and I'll keep you posted on what I decide!
